Dr Moodley is a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Dentistry, UKZN, with a doctoral degree (PhD). Her masters and PhD research was in the field of dental education and occupational health. She first graduated as a dental therapist and worked with the Department of Health. She joined the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2011 as a lecturer in the Discipline of Dentistry and is involved in undergraduate dental therapy training. She teaches Operative Dentistry, Dental Materials, Cariology and Dental Specialities. Dr Moodley is also actively involved in research and has published in local and international journals. In addition, she has presented papers at local and international conferences. Dr Moodley supervises postgraduate masters and PhD students at UKZN. Her research interests are in dental education, occupational health, and public health. She is currently the UKZN representative on the International Association for Dental Research (South African Division).
